🛠️ Changing the Outgoing Mail IP via WHM

• Log In to WHM

  • It is usually reached at yourserverip:2087 .

  • You must log in with the root user name and password.

• Open Exim Configuration Manager

  • In the left menu, go to “Service Configuration” → “Exim Configuration Manager”.

• Switch to the Basic Editor Tab

  • On the “Basic Editor” tab, find the following setting:

    • “Send mail from the ip that matches the domain name in /etc/mailips”

  • Turn this setting on (tick the checkbox).

• Edit the /etc/mailips File

  • Connect to the server via SSH and open the file with this command:

    bash

    nano /etc/mailips
    

  • Example content:

    domainadi.com: 192.168.1.100
    *: 192.168.1.101
    

  • *: This line defines the default IP for all domains.

Save the Changes and Restart the Mail Server

• • Restart the Exim service with the “Restart Mail Server” option in WHM.
