In Plesk, forwarding messages that arrive at one email address to another address is quite easy. This is also known as “mail forwarding” and is especially useful if you want to collect several addresses in one place. Here is how to do it step by step:
1. Log In to Plesk
-
Log in to the Plesk control panel from your web browser (for example:
https://server-ip-address:8443). -
Sign in with your user name and password.
2. Open the Mail Tab
-
Click the “Mail” or “Email” tab in the left menu.
3. Select the Account to Forward
-
Click the email address you want to forward.
4. Go to the “Forwarding” Tab
-
On the page that opens, find and click the “Forwarding” tab.
5. Enable Forwarding
-
Tick the “Switch on mail forwarding” box.
-
Enter the email address you want to forward to (for example:
support@example.com). -
If you want to forward to more than one address, separate the addresses with commas.
6. Save the Settings
-
Click “OK” or “Apply” to finish.
🛠️ Alternative: Forwarding via SSH
If you prefer to work from the command line:
plesk bin mail -u info@example.com -forwarding true -forwarding-addresses add:support@example.com
To forward to more than one address:
plesk bin mail -u info@example.com -forwarding true -forwarding-addresses add:plesk bin mail -u info@example.com -forwarding true -forwarding-addresses add:support@example.com,corporate@example.com
