Where Can I Check My SMTP Settings?

  • Where you check your SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) settings depends on the email client or service you use. Here are the most common scenarios:

💻 If You Use an Email App on Your Computer:

In apps such as Outlook, Thunderbird and Apple Mail:

  • Settings / Account Settings: go to this section.

  • Select the email account.

  • Under “Server settings” or “Advanced settings” you can see details such as SMTP server, port number, authentication.

🌐 For Web-Based Email Services:

For services such as Gmail, Yandex, Outlook.com :

  • SMTP settings are usually not shown directly in the web interface.

  • However, the support pages of these services list the SMTP details. For example:

    • Gmail: smtp.gmail.com, port: 587 (TLS) or 465 (SSL)

    • Outlook.com: smtp.office365.com, port: 587

    • Yandex: smtp.yandex.com, port: 465 (SSL)

📱 In Mobile Apps:

  • Settings > Accounts > select your email account.

  • You can see the SMTP details under advanced settings or server settings.

🔧 If You Use cPanel or Another Hosting Panel:

  • In your hosting control panel (for example cPanel), go to Email Accounts.

  • The SMTP details are listed under “Configure Mail Client”.
